IceCube
IceCube is the follow up experiment of AMANDA (see previous years) when it is finished it showed monitor 1 km³ of ice for neutrinos. It will consist of 80
strings with 60 photo detectors, PMTs, per string (AMANDA has 19 strings with 680 PMTs). The whole drill camp is huge and it took a lot of flights to bring
everything down here.
End of January the IceCube team managed to deploy the first string.
