Summer, sun, beach - McMurdo on R & R. Temperatures around freezing feel very warm after Pole. It's a few days away from the hectic at the Pole. Long showers, lots of sleep, a full size gym, reading, hiking, a three dimensional landscape, dirt, wildlife... so it is a nice change.
