Medsurg 101
It takes about 3 weeks for a medical evacuation during winter time if possible at all, but besides our healthy population, there might be
medical emergency like a appendicitis, that could be life threatening in a few hours to days, so no time for a medical evacuation.
Therefore our Doc Will Silva trained us to assist him in case of such an emergency, and we did a couple of practice surgeries - no patients
were harmed. But to make the preparations more realistic we had Liesl and Bill to volunteer - up to the point of needles and incisions. After that Will's
famous models took over and made the practice as real as possible.
